Welcome to the Monkey Room
Opening and Closing:
If you arrive prior to 7:00am your child should be dropped off in the Gazelle Room. At 7:00am a Monkey teacher will be in and available for drop-offs at that time. The Monkey Room will close at 5:30pm at which time the children will move to the Gazelle Room for the remainder of the day.Communication is KEY!
Please be sure to read your child’s daily sheet each night when you pick up your child. The daily notes tell you about your child’s daily activities, demeanor, and other important notes to remember. If you have comments, suggestions, or questions please feel free to write to us through the Creative Curriculum Journal or give us a call during our quiet time (12:30- 2:30). We will try and journal our parents every week through the Creative Curriculum including photos and observations.Each week a weekly newsletter will be sent to your email through Creative Curriculum with an overview of the week’s activities and activities to come. To facilitate good communication we also have a parent board filled with information including the monthly menu, class schedule, weekly newsletters and the nap mat.
Transition to Toddler Time
The Monkey Room is considered a transition room from the Hippo to the Gazelle Room. As your child grows and matures we develop flexible routines that will best meet your child and family’s needs.For example:
- Transitioning from baby food to table food
- Transitioning from formulas to milk
- Transitioning from bottles to Sippy cups
- Transitioning from pack-n-plays to mats
Please remember to bring: Crib sheet, blanket, diapers, wipes, ointments and/or creams and extra clothing that is weather appropriate.
We also ask that you send in FAMILY PHOTOS!
